Sustainability Procurement policy

We have established a "Sustainability Procurement Policy" in order to fulfill the social responsibilities of the entire supply chain, with the management philosophy of "Through our business activities we will contribute to a safe and prosperous society by providing products incorporating the latest technology and the highest quality”. We practice sustainability by considering human rights, responding to conflict minerals, and promoting environmental conservation.

In order to do so, it is essential for us to have understanding and cooperation from our suppliers. We hope that our suppliers understand the importance of these issues, conduct responsible procurement with us, and cooperate in the research we conduct.

Consideration for human rights

We respect the human rights, personalities, and diversity of people involved in all businesses, prohibit all forms of discrimination and harassment based on differences in race, ethnicity, nationality, creed, sex, religion, disability, sexual orientation, and identity, recognize the impact of human rights on the entire supply chain, and promote efforts to respect human rights.

Response to conflict minerals

There are concerns that mineral resources mined in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and neighboring countries may become a source of funds for inhumane armed groups. Therefore, in order to respect human rights and avoid direct and indirect contributions to any inhumane act, we promote efforts to eliminate the use of minerals (tantalum, tin, gold, tungsten, and other minerals designated by the U.S. Secretary of State) that are the sources of armed forces laid down by the U.S. Economic Regulatory Reform Act, produced in the Democratic Republic of Congo and its neighbors.

Green procurement

We recognize that global environmental issues are commonly important to humanity, and we are developing activities closer to the environment, such as preventing global warming by reducing emissions of carbon dioxide and other substances, reducing power consumption, constructing a cyclic economic society by reducing waste and recycling, and preventing environmental pollution by managing chemical substances. Therefore, we actively procure raw materials, parts, and products that are safe and have low environmental impact and promote the reduction of environmental impact.
