Features of Edgewise Coils

• The capacitance decreases.
• Inductance is improved (effective for noise suppression).
• This supports high frequencies.
• The wire area ratio is improved. (Unnecessary gaps occur with round wire, but the wire area ratio is large because of the rectangular wire.)
• With round wire, there is an increase in internal heat generation, but with edgewise wire, the increase is smaller.
• It makes it lighter, thinner and smaller.
